Marian Jellyman I have lived in Tasmania since 1970 having
emigrated with our young family from the UK. Thanks to Prime Minister
Whitlams government I was finally able to go to University as a
mature student and obtain a B.ED. Now retired, I enjoy the
challenge of U3A both as a learner and facilitator of learning.

Venie Phillips My family has been in Tasmania since the
colonial days and, for me, its the best place in the world to live. My
lifes work was (and still is) teaching. I now work mainly with mature
adults which I find very satisfying. Ive been associated with U3A
Kingborough for about 6 years and its added a wonderful dimension to an
already good life.
